| Research Abstract |
実験準備の3年度として、測定器開発および観測にむけた準備を以下の通り進めた。
1)超伝導マグネットシステムの地上性能実証試験:超伝導コイルおよびクライオスタットを含めたシステムを完成し、気球打ち上げ時における耐衝撃性能、南極周回飛翔に必要な中心磁場0.8テスラに於いて10日以上の連続オペレーションが可能であることを実証した。
2)粒子検出器の開発・ビーム試験:粒子飛跡検出器、粒子識別測定器の要素開発を進めるとともに、加速器ビームを用いた性能確認試験を行った。BESS-Polar実験において求められる性能を発揮できることを確認した。
3)テクニカルフライト:超伝導スペクトロメータの基幹ファシリティとなる超伝導マグネット、太陽エネルギー発電システム、無線データ通信システム、構造体について、NASA科学観測気球打ち上げ施設における噛み合わせおよび打ち上げ実証試験(テクニカルフライト)に成功した
4)スペクトロメータの組み立て:テクニカルフライトの成功を踏まえ、超伝導スペクトロメータの総合組み立てを進めている。
これらのスペクトロメータ開発、実験準備の積み重ねにより、来年度の科学観測・気球実験の実現に大きく近付くことができた。
