Research Abstract	(1)日本の「あすか」衛星の観測データの総合的解析を行い、銀河中心並びに銀河面から拡散硬X線天体を複数発見した。 (2)米国の「チャンドラ」衛星で上記の天体、AX J1843.8-035を詳細観測し、これが新たな非熱的X線放射、すなわち宇宙線加速の超新星残骸であることを解明した。 (3)同様に大マゼラン雲中のスーパーバブル30Dor Cで宇宙線加速が起こっていることを発見した。系外超新星残骸からははじめての発見である。 (4)米国の「チャンドラ」衛星で代表的な宇宙線加速の超新星残骸SN1006を詳細観測し、宇宙線加速領域が従来の学説よりはるかに狭いこと。また加速効率がはるかに高いことを発見し、新たな学説を提唱した。 (5)米国の「チャンドラ」衛星を用いて原始星からの硬X線放射の系統的研究をおこなった。 (6)透過P型CCDの試作に成功した。またN型CCDの試作にも成功し、所期目標空乏層厚300ミクロンを達成した。
