Research Abstract |
During the term of this project, I was frequently invited to the symposiums and special lectures as panelist or lecturer, and also wrote about the issues of representation of women, memory/forgetting, or the problems of the boundaries, of Faulkner, Toni Morrison, and Louise Erdrich. In addition to the research on Faulkner and African American writers at Harvard University, at the New York City Libraries, I have been greatly encouraged in developing the ideas from feminist criticisms, post-colonial criticisms, and multicultural criticisms. All these efforts have culminated into eight papers published in the journals and magazines inside and outside Japan, as well as in the university bulletins. Currently I am preparing for my next book, titled "Representation of Women in Faulkner's Novels: 'America' for the Minorities."
