Research Abstract |
We have demonstrated that pressure itself increased oxidative stress of human coronary smooth muscle cells (1,3). In experimental animals, we have shown the increased oxidative stress of neutrophils (5). In patients with essential hypertension, we have shown the increased oxidative stress both in neutrophils and monocytes (2) which are modified by antihypertensive drugs such as carvedilolor valsartan (7,8).
