| Research Abstract |
探索的射影追跡は、指標追跡指標の最大化を通して多次元データに内在する非正規性成分を抽出するというデータ解析手法である.昨年度研究においては,代表的な射影追跡指標の一つであるモーメント指標(Jones and Sibson,1987,J.Roy.Statist.Soc.Ser.A)の最大値の,サンプルサイズが無限大に近づくときの極限分布を正規確率場の最大値として特徴づけ,その最大値分布の上側裾確率の近似公式をチューブ法(オイラー標数法)と呼ばれる積分幾何学的手法によって導出した.
本年度研究においては昨年度得られた近似公式の誤差評価を行った.チューブ法においては,正規確率場の相関構造から定義されるリーマン部分多様体の幾何量として上側裾確率近似公式が得られるが,同様にしてその誤差もリーマン部分多様体の臨界半径(部分多様体の凸性を測る指標)によって決定される.本年度はモーメント指標に対応する臨界半径の決定を試みた.大規模な数値計算によって臨界半径の値を予想することができたが,その値が真に臨界半径であるかどうかの数学的な証明には至っていない.
また昨年度および本年度の研究結果は第3回多重比較国際会議(MCP2002,米国メリーランド州,2002年8月)において報告された.
