電子ドープ型銅酸化物における高温超伝導発現機構の研究

Research Abstract

平成14年度は、昨年度に作成した電子ドープ型高温超伝導体Pr2-xLaCeaCuO4の磁気-超伝導相図に基づき、熱還元処理することでTc=25Kで超伝導を示すx=0.11を中心に中性子散乱実験を行った。磁気励起と超伝導の関係を調べるという観点から、研究には大別すると以下のような三つの方向性を持たせた。
1)x=0.11の酸素量を調整し、反強磁性秩序を示すas-grownから熱処理によって超伝導が発現するまでの過程での、磁気励起スペクトルの変化を調べる。
2)高エネルギー領域までの磁気励起スペクトルを測定し、ホールドープ系との類似点、相違点を明らかにする。
3)xを変化させ、反強磁性相から超伝導相に入り、さらにオーバードープ領域に至る過程での低エネルギー磁気励起の変化を観測する。
1),3)については、反強磁性相秩序相で見られる、運動量空間で非常にシャープな低エネルギー格子整合ピークが、超伝導を示す試料ではブロードニングを起こすという共通する結果を得た。また、超伝導転移温度が高い試料ほど、ブロードニングの傾向が大きいことから、空間的に磁気相関が短距離になることと高いTcが出現することが対応していることが示唆される。
2)については、精度の高い測定を行い、約150meVでも磁気励起強度があることを初めて明らかにした。これは、ホールドープ系のLSCOやYBCOでも高エネルギー励起が観測されていることと矛盾しない結果で、キャリアータイプに関わらず、銅酸化物においてはスピン揺らぎがクーパー対の形成に関与するという理論的研究を支持する結果である。また、ホールドープ系の結果に比べると散乱強度は低エネルギー領域に集中しているが、La-214系における磁気揺らぎの特性エネルギーとTcとの関係とほぼ一致するという共通性も定量解析の結果明らかになった。
