Outline of Annual Research Achievements

太陽光エネルギーの短波長成分の光子を2つの低エネルギー光子に「カットする」波長変換材料の開発を行った。適切な量子切断(Quantum Cutting)過程を利用すれば、高エネルギー光子を2個の1μm光子に分裂させ、それぞれが最大効率で電子-正孔対を発生させることができるので、発電効率を向上できる。具体的にはCe3+やYb3+等のランタニドイオンを光吸収,発光中心として含む酸化物ガラスを作製し、可視-近赤外波長変換を実現した.またドナーの蛍光寿命の温度依存性を測定することにより,エネルギー移動機構の解明を行った.具体的には,Applied Physics Letter国際論文誌において,論文 "Experimental insights on the electron transfer and energy transfer processes between Ce3+-Yb3+ and Ce3+-Tb3+ in borate glass" を出版,Journal of Applied Physics 国際論文誌に論文 "Role of electron transfer in Ce3+ sensitized Yb3+ luminescence in borate glass" を出版した.またJournal of Non-Crystalline Solids誌に論文 ""Effect of synthesis conditions on Ce3+ luminescence in borate glasses"が受理され,印刷予定である.
