Research Abstract	領域全体としての成果 5つの研究項目を設定して計画研究19課題と公募研究14課題で研究を遂行した。A01(光スピン)では光磁化回転の機構解明と光磁化カンチレバー試作が達成された。A02(電子スピン)では出力可変トランジスタと再プログラム可能回路が提案された。A03(量子スピン)では同位体Siナノ構造の作製とカーボンナノチューブ中のスピン物性に着実な進展が見られた。A04(スピン物性)では室温強磁性ワイドギャップ半導体が従来の正孔誘起強磁性半導体と異なることが示唆された。A05(スピンデザイン)ではシリコン中のスピン挙動、室温強磁性への新提案がなされた。総括班の活動 3つの研究会・報告会を開催した。まず、「平成15年度夏の研究会」(平成15年6月9,10日)、次に「平成15年度成果報告会」(平成16年1月27,28日、京都)を主催して本領域に参画する研究代表者・研究協力者らによる研究成果の公開と検討、研究目標の浸透、ならびに連携促進を行った。さらに、本研究領域の研究者らが自主運営してきた「半導体スピン工学研究会(Physics and Application of Spin-related Phenomena in Semiconductors (PASPS)」を本領域主催の投稿形式会議PASPS-9として平成15年6月10,11日に東京大学・弥生講堂で開催し、領域外の研究者との幅広い連携促進を行った。
