Research Abstract |
In our project, we have organized the following workshops: 1. Workshop on Statistical Mechanical Approach to Probabilistic Information Processing (Tokyo, December 2002). 2. International Workshop on Hayashibara Forum 2003-Physics and Information-, (Okayama, July 2003). 3. Satellite Meeting of STATPHYS 22 "Statistical Physics of Disordered Systems and Its Applications (SPDSA2004)" (Hayama, July 2004). 4. First Workshop on Mathematics of Statistical Inference (Tohoku University, December 2004) 5. Workshop on Randomness and Computation (Sendai, July 2005) 6. Second Workshop on Mathematics of Statistical Inference (Tokyo Institute of Technology, December 2005) Particularly, we have edited the proceedings of SPDSA2004 in Hayama and have published as the supplementary issue of Progress of Theoretical Physics. Moreover, we organized the series of tutorial lecture notes in the journal "Mathematical Sciences" (Saiensu-Sha Co., Japan, November 2004-December 2005). The series of tutorial lecture notes have been published as the special issue of the Mathematical Sciences entitled by "Probabilistic Information Processing and Statistical Mechanics【triple bond】Various Approaches and Their Tutorials【triple bond】." By the organizations of the workshops as well as tutorials and by the publications of some review papers and textbooks, a lot of fundamental ideas and useful theoretical frameworks of statistical mechanical approaches to probabilistic information processing have been constructed and have penetrated in the related scientific areas.
