Research Abstract	1 可積分系と幾何学の研究:第9回日本数学会国際研究集会報告集の準備を行い、アメリカ数学会よりContemporary Mathematics 308巻,309巻としてそれぞれ2002年11月12月に出版された。また、Dubrovin接続の一つの特徴付けに基づいて量子コホモロジーの新しい定式を与え議論した。この研究は、M. Guest, Quantum cohomology via D-modules, math. DG/0206212に発表されている。2002年8月には、南開大学(天津)では量子コホモロジーに関して、北京大学では調和写像に関して最近の研究成果を発表講演した。 2 研究支援者:この研究課題の研究支援者として雇用されたアマルザヤは、旗多様体の量子コホモロジーに関係した微分方程式系に伴う広範な計算を実行するためにMAPLEを使用した。論文A.Amarzaya and M.Guest, Gromov-Witten invariants of flag manifolds, via D-modules,を書き上げた。また、彼は幾何学サーバー(Mac G4 computer)の立ち上げの準備において研究代表者の作業を支援した。 3 国際会議とセミナー:この本研究課題の研究計画の一環として、研究代表者と外国人共同研究者・A. Bobenko, R. Palaisが組織して、国際会議「幾何学と可視化」(2003年1月23-25日,東京都立大学)を開催した。招聘された外国人研究者は、A. Bobenko (T. U. Berlin), T. Hoffmann (T. U. Berlin), X. Lee (Netopia), X. Mo (Beijing University), R. Palais (Brandeis University), W. Schief (University of New South Wales), C.-L. Terng (Northeastern University)である。Oorange, Jtem, 3D-XplorMath, Teddyなど幾何学と可視化に対する種々の特別なソフトウエアに関する多くの追加セミナーを、この国際会議前に実施した。 4 可視化:幾何学サーバー(Mac OS X server softwareを備えたMac G4 computer)が、東京都立大学に確立された。このサーバーの初期段階の目的は、日本における幾何学研究に関する情報を備えたウエブサイト(http://tmugs.math.metro-u.ac.jp)を立ち上げることである。研究分担者・浜田は、産総研との共同プロジェクトとしてKNOPPIX/Mathを作成し、配布を行なっている。
