Research Abstract |
Purpose of this study was to clarify the role of comparative legal history in legal education. 1) I collected records of judgments in medieval age in Europe and Japan and made comparative study on those records. 2) I collected books and treatises on the court of justice and judgments in medieval Europe and Japan. 3) I interviewed three legal historians in Japan about their policy of education regarding comparative legal history. 4) Two rounds of talks about H. Hanawa's policy of education of comparative legal history were held.
