Research Abstract	H15年度は計画案どおり、観測中心の活動であった。海洋科学技術センター「みらい」BEAGLE2003航海に参加し、10月にチリ沖およびマゼラン海峡にて計4点、H16年2月に南東インド洋海嶺、ケルゲレン海台にてそれぞれ1点ずつ海底堆積物を採取した。尚、「みらい」はH15年度末である3月末に日本へ戻ってきたため、各種化学分析はH16年度に実施予定である。チリ沖の堆積物はコンセプシオン大学の研究者と共同し、また南東インド洋海嶺およびケルゲレン海台の採泥は、タスマニア大学の研究者と共同で観測を行った。一方、北太平洋高緯度海域における最新の古海洋学研究の成果発表ならびに、資料収集や情報交換を行うために以下の学会に参加した。 1.「European Geophysical Union」於 France、4月 2.「2003年度地球惑星合同学会」於幕張:「北太平洋高緯度海域における古海洋学の現状」というタイトルでスペシャルセッションを開催。代表コンビーナー:原田尚美)、5月 3.「13^<th> Goldschmidt Conference」於倉敷、9月 4.「International Meeting of Organic Geochemistry」於 Poland、9月
