Research Abstract |
We investigated relationship between effect of anti-glaucoma medication and genetic variation. First, we screened the relationship of SNP of beta-1 adrenergic receptor and diurnal variation of intraocular pressure in the patient with normal-tension glaucoma. Because, the diurnal curve of intraocular pressure is related from adrenergic effect and beta adrenergic receptor blocker is one of anti-glaucoma medication. But we could not detect any relationship between SNP of beta-1 adrenergic receptor and diurnal variation of intraocular pressure. We are going to start the genomic projects of glaucoma and anti-glaucoma medications.
