Research Abstract |
1. Development of Teaching Materials for the Presentation of Technical English Instruction. Selecting students from the Gifu National College of Technology and Cornell University as the target of our study, meetings that included presentations of research papers were videotaped and used as data for analysis, as well as the construction of teaching materials. Also, we edited "A Handbook of Technical English Presentation" and "Useful Expressions of Laboratory English" for daily use. 2. Construction of the System of Communication Server for Learning User Network We constructed the system of communication server for learning where multimedia information is synchronized, and developed the system / contents of laboratory English using synchrotron as a model. 3. Advance Instruction of English Technical Presentation In addition to face-to-face individual instructions, we conducted advanced instructions of technical English presentation by means of the system using voice, image, etc. Though face-to-face individual instructions make it possible to give students detailed instructions, the introduction of the system enabled students to practice repetitively. 4. Editing and Making Electronic Data of "A Handbook of Technical English Presentation" Electronic Data of "A Handbook of Technical Presentation" was made. This enabled students to learn the contents on the network as well as with the book.
