核小体のストレス応答：構造と機能を制御する分子機構の解明

Outline of Annual Research Achievements

様々なストレスは、核小体の形態変化など「核小体ストレス」を引き起こす。がんや神経変性疾患などにおいて、核小体不全の関与が示唆されているが詳細な分子メカニズムは明らかでない。本研究では、画像解析によって核小体形態を計測・評価する方法を確立し、これを用いて核小体の構造維持に必要な因子の探索を行った。その結果、特定の機能をもつ因子群が核小体形成に関与することを明らかにした。また関連疾患において、患者由来の細胞では核小体の形成異常が検出され、病態に関与する可能性を見出した。
