Research Abstract |
Study on developing digital content for sport and PE in schools using streaming server. In this study, digital content delivered with streaming server for sport and physical education was developed in 4 years. For this aim, we have tried to develop materials for PE class. In 2003, we have tried to clarify the situation on digital content development for educational use. Based on such research, we tried to consider the design of digital content and developed Judo, artistic gymnastics and handball as the prototype. In 2004. we have researched the aspects of junior and senior high schools PE teachers observation of soccer game performance. 5 min. small sided soccer game was taken in video and shown to PE teachers. Data was analyzed based on license and teaching experience. In 2005, small sided soccer game movies were delivered with streaming server. University students have observed their own game performance and assessed it with specific aspects. Influence of such observation on their game performance was analyzed. Observing own game performance using streaming server gave positive influence on their game performance, especially defensive game performance. In 2006, digital content of gymnastics, basketball, flag football, handball, baseball type game has developed. Digital content of basketball and soccer was developed to support PE teachers to be able to observe, diagnose and assess performance.
