| Research Abstract |
By inviting three leading political scientists from the US and Europe, the project started as an international study group focusing on the notion of democratic accountability, one of the most fashionable themes in today's political studies. The project organized three international conferences at Waseda University. The final outcomes of all the project members are collected in Hideko Magara, eds., Democracy and Accountability, Grant-in-Aid for Scientific Research (B), March 2007, which includes the following papers :
