Research Abstract |
1)A basic methodology for water body classification in hill bottom paddy fields was developed by field investigation and statistical analysis. 2)A mitigation plan for preservation of fresh water fishes was proposed and practiced in the paddy fields based on the water body classification, and modified HEP, Habitat Evaluation Procedure, were proved to be a reasonable method for mitigation plan. 3)Some mitigation measures, such as fish way, rink canal, artificial pond, avoidance of earth canal, etc. were implemented in the paddy field, and the effects of the measures were examined. 4)The life cycle of some fresh water fishes, such as Leuciscus (Tribolodon) hakonensis, Lefua costata echigonia and Pungitus pungitus sp.2, were investigated and the features were discussed.
