Research Abstract |
For improving the economy of Japan, IT should be applied still more to the industry. However, we can see many big social problems caused by information systems, such as in merging large banks. Thus, the practical ability of large scale information system development does not seem to be excellent. The abilities of system analysis for business reengineering and project management for large scale system development are especially important. Of course, the education of excellent IT engineers is planed in the e-Japan. However, the method for educating the practical ability of large scale information system development has not yet been developed. Therefore, we have studied the following theme : (1)UML and large scale specification synthesis : We have studied a loosely coupled software tool for supporting the review of large scale specifications described with UML. In evaluating the tool, we found that the dynamic model of UML is insufficient for synthesizing specifications. Therefore, we have

studied a rule-base description method for the dynamic model. We have also studied an abstract structure for understanding large scale specifications of event-driven systems. (2)System analysis : We firstly studied the business process modeling using the lean method. Then, we investigated a business process of a small company by applying the TOC (Theory Of Constraints). Recently, project-based business has been increasing in umber. Therefore, we have studied CCPM (Critical Chain Project Management) application, and developed a software tool for buffer management in CCPM. We have also studied an analysis method for unexpected obstacles of embedded software. (3)Project management : We developed the model of ERVM (Earned Requirement Value Management) for managing the value of project requirements, and a software tool which implemented the model. Moreover, by extending the model to the upper process of software development, we have studied the traceability model for quality management, especially, risk management. Less
