Research Abstract |
1. The traditions about Kamakura kaido are still left through the Kanto area. I've gathered these traditions on Edo meisho-zue and Shinpen-musashi-fudoki-ko. The results are presented in table. Then I've considered relationship between the places of tradition left and medieval trunk roads appeared on medieval materials. Moreover, I've investigated tradition about Oshu-gassen with Minamoto Yoriyoshi, Yoshiie, and Yaritomo. 2. Medieval trunk roads appear on medieval materials as Daido. This paper concerns how Kamakura-bakufu maintained Daido, especially how Minamoto Yoritomo organized local landlords living along Daido. 3. The findings of this investigation was reported into 'The formation of Kamakura-bakufu and Kawakura-kaido'.
