Research Abstract

「多元融合領域の予測を超えた未開の新物質相」の発見と現象の解明を行い,物質科学の新展開を先導することが本学術創成研究の目的である.昨年度に続き,4年目も研究は以下のような数々の成果を挙げた.1.重い電子系超伝導体4f^2-PrOs_4Sb_<12>の超伝導発現機構は局所電気四重極ゆらぎに起因することを示唆した.高温超伝導体の超低ドープ域での磁性と超伝導の相図はこれまでの相図とは全く異なることを明らかにし、高温超伝導発現機構が超交換磁気相互作用に起因することを示した(北岡).2.結晶に反転対称性のない重い電子系CeIrSi_3の圧力誘起超伝導が新奇な超伝導特性をもつことを発見した(大貫).3.Ce系重い電子系の臨界価数ゆらぎと超伝導の関係を微視的に解明するために,c-fクーロン斥力を考慮した1次元アンダーソンモデルを「密度行列くりこみ群法」を用いて研究し,大西-三宅の結果が基本的に正しいことを確認した(三宅).4.軟X線角度分解光電子分光では光エネルギーを変えることで面直の波数を選択した上で,光電子の放出角度依存性を測定することによって,これまで超高純度試料で低温でしか評価できなかったバルクフェルミ面を温度にかかわらず可視化できるブレークスルーを実現した(菅).5.ゼオライトA中の単純立方構造で配列したRbクラスターにおいて,Kクラスターとは異なる新たな強磁性を発見した(野末).6.局所密度揺らぎを参照する新しい密度汎関数法を開発して,局所有効相互作用の自己無撞着決定プログラムを作成した.酸素高圧単原子相の第一原理計算による同定を行なった(鈴木・草部).7.単体金属Caの超伝導転移温度が160GPaの超高圧力下で25Kまで上昇することを発見した.これは単体元素即で最高温度である.また高圧X線回折実験により超圧力域に新高圧相を2つ発見した(清水).8.強磁超伝導体UIrにおいて,より純良な試料ではマイスナー効果が増大することから,超伝導が本質的であることを示した.また超伝導が誘起される圧力より低圧側で,異方的な残留抵抗異常を発見し,この原因が構造相転移による相分離であることを示唆した(小林).
