Outline of Annual Research Achievements

生データ転送からエアロゾルプロダクト導出までの一連の解析方法の統一化を図り、その上で、SKYNETエアロゾルデータの再解析を実施した。SKYNETとAERONET等との同時観測を行い、両者のエアロゾル光学的厚さデータの差が0.01以下と非常に小さいことを踏まえて、日本上空のエアロゾルの経年変動解析を行ったところ、日本上空では2008年から2012年にかけて年率2-4%で減少したことが見積もられた。この結果は、SKYNETのキャリブレーション等の手法を変更しても変わらないことが分かった。
国立環境研究所のAD-Netデータ公開システムを継続して運営し、リアルタイムでのデータ公開を継続して実施した。また、AD-Net観測も引き続き実施した。2010年から2015年にわたるAD-Net標準プロダクトを用いた経年変動解析を実施し、エアロゾルの鉛直構造やその時間変動について考察した研究成果は、論文投稿して受理された。また、SKYNETの自動データ処理・データ公開システムを改良し、データ処理・公開の効率化を進めた。さらに、衛星搭載ライダーCALIOPの測定・解析データの収集を継続し、本研究の解析で利用できるように整備すると共に、CALIOPデータの解析を進めた。2006年の打ち上げ以降2011年初頭までの全エアロゾルおよび種類毎の消散係数の鉛直・全球分布推定を行った。また、エアロゾル・雲の識別およびエアロゾル光学的厚さも算出し、これら全てのプロダクトをデータセット化した。
スカイラジオメーター観測データは、標準化データセットを構築するために、対象サイト全てのデータを同一サーバーに整備出来るように準備を行った。また、それらのエアロゾルの光学的特性の解析を進め、観測および解析中における誤差要因や課題を整理し検討した。
SKYNETとAD-Netの複合解析手法により、国内外7地点のデータ解析を開始した。また、スカイラジオメータからエアロゾル組成を推定する手法を開発した。

Reason

計画通り、SKYNETデータについて、キャリブレーション・立体視野角測定の取り扱い・雲除去アルゴリズムについて一貫した手法を検討・採用し、データの再解析を実施した。また、エアロゾル光学的厚さ等の経年変動を見積もった。加えて、SKYNETとAERONETの調和観測を行い、両者の相互比較から整合性を評価するとともに、一貫した手法の採用等によってSKYNETデータ利用を促進させ、SKYNETの世界標準化を前進させた。さらには、千葉県千葉市や福岡県春日市において、エアロゾル前駆気体の観測をMAX-DOAS法で実施し、2006年より蓄積されているつくばのデータも合わせて解析し、トレンド解析に役立てた。
AD-Net観測およびSKYNETとAD-Netのデータ処理・公開は順調に運用が進められ、適宜それらの改良を実施している。AD-Netの標準プロダクトを用いた経年解析も開始し、論文公表として成果も上がっている。また、本研究で必要となる衛星搭載ライダーCALIOPの信号データの集積、そしてその信号データを用いたエアロゾル全球解析も逐次実施し、それらのデータセット化も進めている。
スカイラジオメーターについては、観測サイトのネットワーク環境等のインフラの整備を行い、各サイトの生データの転送システムの統一化の整備を行っている。また、観測機器の老朽化により、測器の故障が相次いだため、機材の再整備を進めた。
SKYNETとAD-Netの観測が重なっている国内外の7地点を選択し、複合解析によるエアロゾル鉛直分布の解析に着手した。また、より高度な解析やモデルとの連携を目指し、煤と水溶性粒子の内部混合モデルを作成した。そして、スカイラジオメータからエアロゾル組成を推定する手法を開発した。

Strategy for Future Research Activity

SKYNETおよびAD-Netの観測を継続しつつ、本研究で浮かび上がってきた誤差要因等の情報をもとに、キャリブレーション・立体視野角測定の取り扱い・雲除去アルゴリズムについての一貫した解析手法をさらに高度化・確立させるとともに、対象の全サイトおよび全期間の生データの再解析を実施し、標準SKYNETデータセットの構築を進める。また、リアルタイムデータ解析に着手し、アジア域を中心としたエアロゾル特性についての経年変動を明らかにする。集中観測ベースでのSKYNET-AERONETの調和観測も実施して整合性を精密に評価する。SKYNETをAD-Netとともに国際的なGAW contribution networkとして明確に位置づける。最新の衛星データも解析し、SKYNETやAD-Netのデータによる検証を進める。検証後、衛星データも活用し、エアロゾル光学特性の経年変動の把握をより面的に連続性をもったものに昇華させる。エアロゾル光学的厚さ・エアロゾル前駆気体の時空間分布観測をMAX-DOAS法で継続的に実施し、異なる複数の方位角に向けた観測により水平分布の知見も得て、空間代表性の異なる地上観測網データ・衛星データ・数値モデルデータの比較結果の解釈に役立てる。
世界展開されているSKYNET観測サイトの運営状況の把握とデータ公開の可能性の検討を今年度精力的に進め、本研究で構築しているSKYNETデータ処理・公開システムに参加可能な観測サイト数の飛躍的な向上が見込めることが判明した。今後それらのデータを公開し、SKYNETデータ公開の拡大を進める。
平成29年度打ち上げ予定のGCOM-C1衛星や数値モデルの地上検証のため、スカイラジオメーター観測データの標準化データセットを構築し、対象サイト全てのデータを同一サーバーに一元管理する。また、地上・衛星データの解析を進め、東アジアの広域長期変動を明らかにしていく。
