Outline of Annual Research Achievements

ディラック電子系における磁気的性質と電気的性質の間には、相対論的な対称性による密接な関係があることが明らかにされたが、今年度はこの対称性に基づいて核磁気共鳴とスピンホール効果に関する理論を構築した。とりわけ、核スピンと電子の間の磁気的・電気的(電気四重極)相互作用によって生じるスピン格子緩和率の定量的な比較を行い、核磁気共鳴における軌道効果の重要性を明らかにした。
スピン軌道結合の効果を相対論的に取り扱い、強いスピン軌道結合の場合の弱局在の理論研究を進め、ディラック電子系ではスピン拡散長が長くなりうることを示した。また、ディラック電子系の表面状態を理論的に調べ、解析解を得た。その結果、表面状態の侵入長は長く、比較的厚い膜厚でも薄膜両面の表面状態が干渉して表面状態にギャップが開くことが分かった。実験的には、Fe(100)上に高配向Bi((111)のテクスチャ構造)が成長することを元に、Feから高配向Biへのスピン流注入をスピンポンピング法で行い、高配向Biのスピン流・電流変換機能を精査した。
単一成分分子性導体において、波数空間内でのディラック点のループの存在を証明し、有効模型を導出した。さらにこの系での、スピン磁化率の温度依存性・絶対零度での異方的電気伝導度の圧力依存性を調べた。また、有機ディラック電子系α-(BEDTTTF)_2I_3においてスピン格子緩和時間の特異な温度依存性の起源が長距離クーロン斥力であることを明らかにした。この電子相関効果は、エキシトン転移の前駆的な揺らぎを引き起こすことを示した。実験的には、α-(BEDTTTF)_2I_3の高圧力下での面内伝導度異方性および面間磁気抵抗の磁場方向依存性から、この系のディラックコーンの傾き度合を決定した。その結果、タイプIIと呼ばれるディラック電子系との境界近傍にあることが分かった。
