Outline of Final Research Achievements

In the past, research on topology changes due to MHD instability and radial transport of heat, particles, momentum, and electric current due to electrostatic fluctuation have been treated as independent research themes. Therefore, little research has been done on the combination of the two.
In the large helical device (LHD) plasma, we have studied the coupling between magnetic field topology and turbulent transport. Through this research, the coupling between "Magneto Hydro Dynamics (MHD) instability" and "anomalous transport due to plasma turbulence" was clarified.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements
