Outline of Annual Research Achievements

本研究では、雨滴が生成されるより前の水蒸気の動態を知り、さらに降水に至るまでの大気現象の推移を、光・電波を用いた先端計測より明らかにすることを目的とする。鍵となる水蒸気空間分布については、独自に構築してきたGNSS(GPSや準天頂衛星等の衛星測位システム)の稠密受信ネットワークによる可降水量の水平分布計測と、水蒸気ラマンライダーによる鉛直分布計測から求める。
平成28年度までに、滋賀県信楽地域に水平距離3-4 kmおきに配置したGNSS受信機で構成される稠密観測網を構築し、可降水量水平分布の連続観測を行うとともに、準リアルタイム観測への対応実験やGNSS可降水量とメソ数値モデルデータを用いたラマンライダー校正実験を実施してきた。しかし、平成29年に起きた被雷等により装置が故障し、研究課題の主目的である豪雨が高頻度に発生する夏期のデータの一部が取得できないといった問題が生じた。そこで、平成30年度は、被雷や高温への対策を新たに追加して、可降水量稠密観測網と水蒸気ラマンライダーによる通年観測、および夏季を中心にラジオゾンデによる集中観測を実施した。夏季には、複数の台風が観測点近くを通過したり、最高気温が35度を超える日が連続したりしたが欠損なくデータが取得できた。これらの観測データをまとめ、可降水量水平分布および水蒸気鉛直分布のデータベースの作成および水蒸気動態についての考察を行った。また、今後のGNSS観測の展開を考えて受信機の一部を2018年より4機体制になった準天頂衛星対応に更新し、日本および赤道直下であるインドネシアでの可降水量計測のための試験観測を行った。
