Outline of Annual Research Achievements

平成29年度は申請書に記載したPhase 2の検討内容を引き続き行った.これまでは光触媒であるZnGa2O4/Ga2O3のみを用いて赤外吸収スペクトルを測定していたが,本年度は助触媒であるAgの効果を明らかにする目的で,Ag/ZnGa2O4/Ga2O3を用いて赤外吸収スペクトルを測定した.電子源であるH2Oを共存させた場合,ZnGa2O4/Ga2O3およびAg/ZnGa2O4/Ga2O3上ではb-HCO3-Ga及びm-HCO3-Gaが観察されなかった.また,ZnGa2O4/Ga2O3上ではformateも形成されなかったにもかかわらず,Ag/ZnGa2O4/Ga2O3上ではformate種が形成し続けた.Ag/ZnGa2O4/Ga2O3とZnGa2O4/Ga2O3のスペクトルを比較すると,Ag/ZnGa2O4/Ga2O3にはGa3+上及びZn2+上bicarbonate種に加え,1340 cm-1付近にブロードな吸収が新たに確認された.さらにAg上にCO2を導入しても,新たな吸収は見られず,CO2吸着種は確認されなかった.一方でAg2OにCO2を導入すると1340及び1415 cm-1付近にAg2CO3に帰属される吸収が現れた.このうち1340 cm-1の吸収はAg/ZnGa2O4/Ga2O3上にCO2を導入した際に新たに表れた吸収とよく一致していることから,Ag/ZnGa2O4/Ga2O3のAgの表面はAg2Oとして存在していると考えらえる.Ag2O上の1340 cm-1の吸収はH2Oの有無にかかわらず生成した.このことから,H2O存在下では,助触媒として担持されたAgの表面に存在するAg2OがCO2を捕捉し,Ag2CO3が形成されると結論した.これにより,Ag2CO3から活性点へとCO2が供給され,formate種が形成される反応メカニズムを提案した.
