Outline of Annual Research Achievements

本研究では、核融合周辺プラズマを対象として、新しい運動論的数値シミュレーションモデルの構築を目的とする。とくに、ELM(Edge Localized Mode)の際の熱パルスに対するデタッチメントプラズマの動的応答解析が可能となる新しい数値シミュレーションモデルの構築を目指す。その特徴は、①水素イオン、電子の運動量・エネルギー緩和過程の理解に加えて、②非平衡・非定常プラズマ中における水素原子・分子の衝突・輻射および輸送過程の理解、③不純物をも考慮した核融合周辺プラズマの統合数値シミュレーションモデルの構築を目指す点にある。
以上の目的を踏まえ、本研究では1)プラズマ輸送モデル、2)中性粒子輸送モデル、3)不純物輸送モデルの高度化を研究期間を通して行ってきた。また、計算結果を、筑波大学の核融合実験装置GAMMA10およびCERN Linac4などの水素負イオン源装置における実験と比較することにより、その妥当性検証を行ってきた。
特に、今年度は、上記1)、2)の高度化を基盤として開発した0次元統合モデルを用いて、デタッチ状態の詳細な解析、実験との比較を実施した。さらに、ELMを模擬した熱パルスを加え、非定常計算を開始することに成功した。今後、1次元運動論的粒子モデル(PIC)と中性粒子モデルによるELM動的応答解析の基盤としてきわめて有用と考えられる。一方、上記、3)については、我々が開発してきたIMPGYROコードをGAMMA10実験に適用し、モデル妥当性の検証を進めた。また、国際熱核融合実験炉(ITER)実体系に適用し、その運転予測に寄与した。さらに、不純物輸送に重要な摩擦力、熱力を、背景水素イオンのエネルギー分布の非平衡性を考慮した上でIMPGYROコードに実装した。これにより、はじめて核融合周辺プラズマ中の不純物に対する新古典輸送効果を運動論的に扱うことが可能となった。
