Outline of Annual Research Achievements

大気エアロゾルは大気中で気体成分と反応することで常に変質している。この変質プロセスの解明は地球の気候変動予測と健康影響評価の両面において重要である。特にエアロゾルの気液界面に生成するクリーギー中間体(カルボニルオキシドの一種)やカルボカチオンが関与する反応は重要であると予想されてきたが、その反応機構はほとんどわかっていなかった。
H30年度は気液界面に生成するクリーギー中間体とカルボカチオンの反応機構を分子レベルで調べることに成功し、目標を大きく上回る成果を得ることができた。本成果はEnviron. Sci. Technol., 2019, DOI: 10.1021/acs.est.9b00364., J. Chem. Phys., 2019, 150, 024702 (8 pages), Phys. Chem. Phys., 2018, 20, 15400-15410を含む国際誌8報として論文発表された。また本成果の一部は著書としてまとめられた(Multiphase Environmental Chemistry in the Atmosphere, Chapter 3, 2018, pp35-pp47)。本成果を評価されて国際学会での招待講演・基調講演を含む7件の口頭発表を行った。本研究成果は大気エアロゾルの気液界面で起こるクリーギー中間体とカルボカチオンの反応機構の解明を世界に先駆けて行ったものであり、重要である。
