線維芽細胞増殖因子-2(FGF-2)とβ-TCP・ゼラチン複合体を使用した歯肉退縮に対しての根面被覆術の有効性を、動物実験で比較検討した。本データをまとめ、学会発表および論文執筆を行った。Biodegradable gelatin/beta-tricalcium phosphate sponges incorporating recombinant human fibroblast growth factor-2 for treatment of recession-type defects: A split-mouth study in dogs. 歯周組織再生において、足場の等電点を変化させることによりFGF-2の効果が変化するかを動物実験で比較検討した。結果として、FGF-2と静電気結合する酸性ゼラチンを使用した群で、塩基性ゼラチンを使用した群に比べ、多くの歯槽骨再生が認められた。本データは現在論文執筆中である。
FGF-2と併用する理想的な足場を検討するため、従来用いられてきた足場との比較として、β-TCP・ゼラチン複合体とβ-TCP顆粒との比較検討を動物実験で行った。結果として、歯周組織再生における差異は病理組織像における組織構造のみであった。本データは現在論文執筆中である。研究計画書に記載した異種骨Bio-Ossと自家骨との比較は、動物の個体数の制限があるため、実行することができなかった。
