Outline of Final Research Achievements

Providing monetary incentives to each participant according to his/her payoff in an experiment is an important procedure for experimental economics. Eye-tracking has become an effective method to investigate economic decision making. However, whether incentives affect eye movements remains an unresolved question. This study explores this unaddressed question in the case of a risky choice experiment. We found that participants' eye movement pattern is affected by monetary incentives even though the choices are not affected.
