Outline of Annual Research Achievements

X線衛星「ひとみ」に搭載されたSoft X-ray Spectrometer(SXS)の軌道上較正を行った。
SXSは従来のCCD検出器と比べて1/10以下のエネルギー分解能(要求仕様<7 eV)を持つX線マイクロカロリメータである。加えてSXSは最小5 μsという優れた時間分解をもつ。
かに星雲パルサーの観測データを用いた時刻較正を主導し、相対時刻精度は50 μs以下と優れた性能を示し、要求である80 μs以下をクリアすることが分かった(Leutenegger et al. 2016)。また、SXSに加えて、HXIとSGDを含めたひとみ衛星全体での時刻較正を行うとともに、米国のSwift衛星、欧州のINTEGRAL衛星、地上の電波望遠鏡を用いて行った相互較正の結果を取りまとめている。この結果は私が代表して国際高エネルギー天文学較正会議(International Astronomical Consortium for High Energy Calibration; IACHEC)にて報告を行うとともに、現在、論文発表の準備を進めている。
上記の較正結果を用いた上で、かに星雲パルサーにおけるGiant Radio Pulseとの同期成分を抽出し、X線帯域での上限値の更新を試みている。
またすざく衛星における時刻付け異常について、時刻補正を施すことで、180 ms以上のずれを1 ms程度の精度まで改善させることに成功した。時刻補正を不具合の影響のある全データに適応し、すざくの最終プロダクトとして公開されている。また現在、時刻精度の改善に成功したアーカイブデータを用いて、系統的なブラックホールの解析を進めている。
