Outline of Final Research Achievements |
In this research, we develop game theoretic models to support firms' decision making for "customization," which attempts to provide diverse products to effectively meet consumers' individual need, mainly from the viewpoint of competitive strategy. Although most of previous studies focus only on customization in stages of product design and pricing, we extensively consider customization in various marketing activities including distribution and advertising. The game theory results obtained through our model development and analysis could provide rich insights into firms' decision making in strategically offering customization.
