Outline of Final Research Achievements |
The purposes of our study were to develop the Japanese version of Cognitive Scale for Functional Bowel Disorder (CS-FBD) and Irritable Bowel Syndrome-Behavioral Responses Questionnaire (IBS-BRQ) (Study 1) and to construct the bio-psychological model of IBS assessing endocrine indexes (cortisol and DHEA), immune indexes (IL-6 and CRP), autonomic nerve activity, and blood pressure as biological indexes and applying the CS-FBD and the IBS-BRQ (Study 2). Regarding the study 1, we have collected data from 50 participants with IBS, and continue the data collection from individuals without IBS. From the results of data currently collected, The CS-FBD and IBS-BRQ were found to be reliable and valid with a high degree of internal consistency and the certain validity. Regarding the study 2, Regarding the study 2, saliva assay is delayed (scheduled for October 2019), but we found that blood pressure certainly correlated with CS-FBD and IBS-BRQ scores.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
