Outline of Final Research Achievements |
The three main results are as follows. ① I analyzed the characteristics of shakyo-ka and jingi-ka in the Imperial Waka Anthology. It became clear that the inclusion and arrangement of shakyo-ka and shingyo-ka reflect the intentions of the emperor who ordered the compilation of the Imperial Waka Anthology, as well as his beliefs and relationships with shrines and temples.②An analysis of the relationship between the monk Myoe and his dreams and waka poetry. ③I surveyed Waka divination books from the Muromachi period to the Edo period, and clarified their genealogy and characteristics. ④I focused on Omikuji based on waka poems, and investigated Waka Divination books since the Edo period and waka Omikuji woodblocks kept at shrines in various regions. In addition, we examined the relationship and differences between waka Omikuji and Chinese poem Omikuji, and classified waka features on Omikuji and Waka Divination books from the Edo period to the Meiji period and up to the present day.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
