Outline of Final Research Achievements

A clear and steady aim of my applied research is to explain cultural exchanges on Japan,China and Korea. On an investigation to National Folk Museum of Korea, I found flags which were used in funeral procession. The flag's name is "Bansho". I found a new cultural changing way from China to Korea. In several times, I have given lectures on international academic symposiums in Korea . And in several times, I have investigated to ancient graves which faced on ancient major road. And I found the grave's characters which appeal their dignities to us.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements

日本国内の諸古墳への臨地調査研究を精力的におこない「墓・古墳のアピール性」の解明や古代幹線道路と古墳の関連の究明を進展させた。大韓民国の百済25代王武寧王陵にてはレンガ状の「磚(せん)」を積み上げた築造方法を、奈良県桜井市の花山東・西塚古墳にては榛原石を磚状に加工して積み上げた築造方法を臨地調査研究した。結果、「韓国－日本」の文化交流を明確に見出せた。また、花山東・西塚古墳では背面に「馬蹄型」の盛り土囲みを確認した。その後、大韓民国の江華島にて小円墳墓の背面に「馬蹄型」盛り土囲みを発見し、「韓国－日本」の文化交流理解の〈新機軸〉を得た。融合的かつ新たな文化交流研究研究を胚胎できた意義も大きい。
