Outline of Final Research Achievements |
The purpose of this research project was to consider the controversy over "market economy" and "social justice" developed by economists of the 20th century America, and to re-position it in the genealogy of the idea of a free society.
Especially focusing on Frank Knight and John Rawls, each of which has been thought to contribute to a different type of liberalism, we compare their views on market economy, freedom and discussion, and clarify details of the common points and differences of their views.
