Outline of Annual Research Achievements

平成30年度は、事業期間を一年延長した最終年度であり、大きな成果であるところのアグリゲイトの散乱位相関数を考慮したイジェクタカーテンの光散乱計算に関する論文を完成させることを目指した。その論文については現在ほぼ投稿できる段階にある。また、本研究課題で得られた知見に基づいて、応用例として小惑星 (3200) Phaethon 表層からのイジェクタをモデル化した。さらにイジェクタカーテンの特徴をより理解すべく、空隙率を系統的に50~70%に変化させたシリカ微粒子及び氷微粒子標的に対して高速度衝突によるクレータ形成実験を行い、その時に発生するイジェクタカーテンを高速カメラにより撮影し、数値モデルとの比較のための基礎データを取得した。本研究課題で得られたモデルは、「はやぶさ2」衝突装置によって形成された小惑星リュウグウ上の人工クレータと撮像されたイジェクタカーテンの解釈への適用など、今後有効に活用されると期待される。
