Outline of Annual Research Achievements

ペレット入射は磁場閉じ込め核融合炉への有効な燃料供給法である.近年,リニアモーター駆動によるペレット射出方式が提唱されている.同方式では,真空チューブ中に敷設した永久磁石のレール上で高温超伝導(HTS)薄膜を用いた超小型磁気浮上列車をリニア電磁加速している.今後,同方式を超伝導リニア加速(SLA)方式と呼ぶ.SLA方式の加速性能はHTS薄膜中を流れる遮蔽電流密度解析を行うことによって評価できる.本年度の研究目的は,遮蔽電流密度解析の応用としてSLA方式の実現可能性を数値的に検証することである.
SLA方式では,ペレット容器を加速するためにHTS薄膜が用いられる.電磁石の生成磁場中をペレット容器が運動すると,HTS薄膜に遮蔽電流密度が流れる.この遮蔽電流密度と印加磁場との相互作用のためにペレット容器は加速される.
遮蔽電流密度の時間変化とペレット容器の運動はそれぞれ遮蔽電流密度方程式とNewtonの運動方程式によって記述される.本研究では,遮蔽電流密度方程式を離散化するために,有限要素法(FEM)と等価回路法(ECM)を適用した.その結果,何れの離散化法を用いた場合も,連立常微分方程式が得られた.この連立常微分方程式の初期値問題はRunge-Kutta法によって容易に解くことができる.
FEM/ECMシミュレーションを用いてペレット容器の速度変化を調べることにより,SLA方式の加速性能を調べた.その結果,SLA方式で単一の電磁石を用いた場合でも,ペレット容器は10 ms以内に150 m/sまで加速されることが判明した.
