Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
In the final year of this project, we have successfully extended our proposal to several different applications, including: (1) we have experimentally demonstrated the feasibility of optical subcarrier processing in subcarrier-modulated signals (SCM) by using our coherent pump technology. Through it, two low-level modulated subcarriers could be coherently combined and converted to a high-level one, resulting in the data aggregation in subcarriers. It could also enable the subcarrier multicast in the process simultaneously. The extended paper has been published in one of the top-tier journal in our field, Optical Express. (2)We also have tried to apply the coherent pump scheme to other applications such as the injection locking to implement the data modulation in Radio-over-Fiber system.
