Outline of Final Research Achievements |
We developed a novel experimental model of TTR amyloidosis using TTR fragments, which easily form amyloid fibrils in vitro. Those TTR fragments induced apoptosis in cultured cells. We also performed drug screening using this experimental model and found several candidates of TTR amyloid inhibitors.
