Outline of Annual Research Achievements

本年度は,X線CT装置に装備されている自動露出機構(AEC)の装置間比較と,X-Y軸面(Axal面)AECのモンテカルロモデリングを目的に,以下の項目を遂行した.
(1) X線CT装置自動露出機構(AEC)測定用ファントムの作成
AEC用ファントムは,1つの円形(140 mmφ)ファントムと3つの異なるサイズの楕円(100 mm×200 mm,140 mm×280 mm,180 mm×360 mm)ファントムで構成され,アクリル材で作成されている.各ファントムには,中心と周辺4か所に電離箱を挿入することが可能で,電離量測定からX-Y軸面(Axal面)とZ軸のAECの推定が可能である.
(2) 各社CT装置の自動露出機構(AEC)の装置間比較
各社CT装置(LightSpeed VCT(GE社,64列),AquilionONE(TOSHIBA社,320列),SOMATOM Sensation(SIEMENS社,64列),Brillance iCT(PHILIPS社,128列)について,上記のAEC測定用ファントムを用いたヘリカルスキャンからX-Y軸面(Axal面)とZ軸のAECの特性を調べた.Axal面-AECではモンテカルロ計算によるモデリングも行った.Axal面-AECは各CT装置で同様な管電流変調であったが,Z軸-AECでは管電流変調に大きな違いが見られた.AECは実際の撮影では管電流制御の制限を受け,過大電流,過小電流を生じた.Axal面-AECのモンテカルロ計算値は測定値に良く一致し,Axal面-AECのモンテカルロモデリングが可能になった.以上の研究成果から,各社CTの自動露出機構の特徴とそれらの違いが明らかになった.本研究成果は,CT撮影におけるAECを用いた最適な条件設定と被ばく線量の把握に有用な情報を提供する.

概ね研究計画通りに課題項目を遂行することができ,予定通りの研究成果が得られている.

Strategy for Future Research Activity

これまでの研究成果で各社CT装置の被ばく線量の定量的な評価と自動露出機構(AEC)の装置間の特徴が明らかになった.今後の研究展開として,各社CTの各撮影部位(頭部,頸部,胸部,腹部)における臓器被ばく線量の定量的な評価を引き続き行う.また,モンテカルロ計算による被ばく低減化を検討し,臓器被ばく線量と画質の適正化を行う.

Causes of Carryover

平成28年度は,当初予定していた物品費はややオーバーしたが,旅費に残余が生じ,また謝金が発生しなかったために,83,383円の繰越金が生じた.
