Outline of Final Research Achievements |
Using cerebrospinal fluid of glioma patients, tumor-derived circulating cell free (ccf) DNA was extracted. It was found that more than 50 ng of ccf DNA can be obtained from 1 ml of cerebrospinal fluid. Using this DNA as a template, it was possible to screen point mutations of IDH1, H3F3A, BRAF genes by real-time PCR / high resolution melting curve analysis method. Moreover, it was also found that quantitative analysis of MGMT gene promoter methylation is also possible.
