Outline of Final Research Achievements |
We developed a new cure to show high curative effect for spinal cord injury by using valproic acid with histone deacetylase inhibitory activity together with neural stem cell transplant so far. However, clinical by this new cure that we developed this time safely; it is necessary for the primate who is near to Homo sapiens to examine curative effect in detail to apply it. Because we developed the study using the rat, mouse spinal cord injury model so far, I applied the technique and developed spinal cord injury model manufacture device for exclusive use of the Macaca fascicularis. Spinal cord injury by three severe different damage energy slight medium degree, and after evaluating a hind leg function, graded functional disorder was seen according to size of the damage energy afterwards.
