Outline of Final Research Achievements |
Recent advances of sonodynamic therapy(STD) in oral cancer treatment and its significance such as therapeutic effects are reported. In this study a unique SDT system was added to a commercially available ultrasonic irradiation device, and a new SDT system was constructed to conduct a basic study on its therapeutic effect. As a result, the antitumor effect of SDT on human oral squamous cell carcinoma cell subcutaneously transplanted mice was confirmed, However it was considered that further research will be needed regarding the antitumor effect of the Sonodynamic sensitizer 5-ALA pretreatment + ultrasonic combination group
