Outline of Final Research Achievements |
Insulin signal is one of the major regulatory signals of aging process. We have been reported that WDR6 (WD repeat protein 6) functions as a novel insulin signal molecule. In this research, we showed that WDR6 is involved in mTORC1 pathway whish is important for cell growth and autophagy regulation by using WDR6 knock out mice and WDR6 knock down cells. These results suggest that WDR6 might have important roles in the longevity regulation in higher organisms.
