Outline of Final Research Achievements

In Japan, research on libertarianism is rare, let alone research on anarcho-capitalism. To focus on anarcho-capitalism is therefore significant. Even overseas, while some argue for anarcho-capitalism, there is little academic research on the topic, and much of the little research that exists focuses on, for instance, the privatization of a specific public good. This research project attempted to examine the potential and limits of anarcho-capitalism from both history/experience and from normative theory. The results were the completion and eventual publication of a number of papers on both aspects of anarcho-capitalism, as well as a call to rethink the role of the modern state and to revitalize modern theories of justice.
