Outline of Final Research Achievements

The purpose of this study is to reveal qualities and abilities leading to foundations of subjects and establish a curriculum and methods to develop them in transitional education from kindergartens to elementary schools. We designed the transitional curriculum through exploring qualities and abilities leading to foundations of subjects and considering relation of each area in the Japanese national curriculum, the Course of study for kindergarten, on its analysis. Further, we derived requirements from interactive observations of activities/teachings, its discussions and mutual entry activity and teaching.
As a result, we found that the requirement for the transition is awareness reform among different kinds of schools’ teachers and the stem of the transition is power directed toward playing and power directed toward learning.
