Outline of Final Research Achievements |
In this study, we investigated an experimental method which allows us to measure thermal conductivity under multi-extreme condition. We employed so-called three-omega method instead of the conventional steady-state method. We developed a system involving Ge0.82Au0.18 thin-film as a thermometer/heater and succeeded to detect very tiny thermal response from the sample at low temperatures. Moreover, we demonstrated that the ability of our system/method to measure thermal conductivity even under pressure.
