Outline of Final Research Achievements |
Angiogenesis and stromal invasion play important roles in tumor growth/extension. We have identified angio-lymphatic vessels positive for both vascular marker (factor VIII) and lymphatic marker (D2-40). We examined histopathological characteristics of the aigio-lymphatic vessels in the tumors. The angio-lymphatic vessels are found not only tumor tissues, but also their surrounding tissues, and thought to play a significant role in early tumor invasion and neoangiogenesis.
