Outline of Final Research Achievements |
Various endogenous viruses have been identified in the genomes of some kinds of ticks collected in Japan by next-generation sequencing. This finding will provide the useful information for the future study about pathogenic tick-borne viruses, because endogenous viruses may influence the infection and the propagation of tick-borne viruses in ticks.
